![]() What's plannedHere are tentative plans, subject to change . . . but I want you to have a glimpse of what to expect!
Monday Sept 19th (A private tour of the Warner Bros Studios in Burbank with plenty of picture taking opportunities!)
We will be spending one day at the Autry National Center in Griffith Park, details to be determined, but you must see the preeminent museum of the American West, featuring tributes to Westerns of the big and small screen and the real West, and of course the David Dortort Collection, including pages of the pilot script, in Mr. Dortort’s own handwriting! We will offer tours in air-conditioned, private busses to locations where episodes of BONANZA were filmed, including Bronson Canyon ("Mr. Henry Comstock," "The Saga of Annie O’Toole"), Vasquez Rocks ("Between Heaven and Earth"). This will be part of the 3 day event, and the cost will be included in your regular ticket. |

And of course you can count on numerous favorite activities from past conventions including uncut episode screenings, guest panels, a charity auction and trivia contest. We intend to donate proceeds from the auction to the Lake Tahoe, Michael Landon Memorial and Waycross, Georgia charities again, but suggestions for additional charities are welcome. There are many details still to be worked out - but this info should help as you start planning. Now we are looking at about $400.00 for the 3-day package. We will be taking non-refundable deposits soon, hopefully by August 2010. |
